To complete our team, we are looking for a Senior CAD Engineer for Freeform Optic Design (m/f/d).
Your responsibilities
As a Senior CAD Engineer for Freeform Optic Design, you will:
- work as part of an interdisciplinary team to ensure mechanical perfection of novel polymer optics for near-to-eye smart glasses
- support mechanical concept development and execution in various projects related to the design, production and metrology of the tooz optics platform
- master 3D design tools for parametric modelling of complex freeform surfaces in order to translate complex optical designs into injection moldable parts
- collaboratively contribute to solve various engineering challenges
Requirements
Training:
- a master degree in engineering, ideally with a focus on mechanical design, precision mechanics and plastics technology
Experience:
- at least 5 years of experience in mechanical concepts, design and realization of (optical) parts with complex freeform surfaces
- at least 3 years of experience in project management with international partners
Competences:
- good command of German and English
- the ability to independently structure complex, interrelated issues and creatively and quickly solve them
- assertive communicator and talented organizer
